Curators Talk

CURATING ONLINE: SUSTAINING TECHNOLOGICAL OPTIMISM OR APPROXIMATING ALTERNATIVES?
Organised by Hang Li, with Raqs Media Collective,
Shama Khanna and Donatella Della Ratta

Online via Chisenhale Gallery, London
3-4.30pm BST, 21.08.2021

Organised by Chisenhale’s Asymmetry Curatorial Writing Fellow Hang Li, artists Raqs Media Collective, curator and educator Shama Khanna, and scholar, performer and curator Donatella Della Ratta discuss the possibilities of online space to re-imagine group deliberation and notions of community.

The discussion calls into question technological optimism and solutionism permitting online curating by reclaiming the politicality of working in tandem with technologies. The event is part of Hang's Fellowship research project 'Remote Affinity: Working Together From a Distance'.

The event will take place online, via Zoom.
