We are excited to share that our library is now open to the public by appointment.

As a specialist library that centres contemporary Chinese and Sinophone art, curatorial knowledge and artistic independent publishing, our library offers a distinctive space for reading and research. Our collection currently holds over 700 titles, including monographs, exhibition catalogues, reference books, zines, and audio-visual materials from and about the region. It continues to grow as a living repository and a site of communal activation, shaped not only by the research of our fellows, acquisitions through our Librarians-in-Residence programme, and contributions from our wider network of curators, artists, and thinkers, but also by Asymmetry’s wider endeavour to create new infrastructures for knowledge, dialogue, and collaboration.

How to Book

Visitors are warmly invited to book a timed slot to explore the collection, spend time with selected materials, or simply browse and read. Appointments are available Tuesdays to Thursdays, with two slots daily: 11AM–2PM or 2–5PM.

To make a booking, please email library@asymmetryart.org with your full name, a brief introduction to your interests or research purpose, and your preferred date and time slot (at least 24 hours in advance).

Before your visit, we kindly ask you to review our Library Visitor Guideline and Copyright Policy to help us maintain a considerate and welcoming environment for all.

The library catalogue is currently being finalised for online access and will soon be available on our website.
