Lai Fei is an editor, writer and translator based in Shanghai. She is Chief Editor of LEAP, China’s first bilingual contemporary art magazine, and the founding editor of ArtReview’s Chinese edition, launched in winter 2022. Over the past twelve years, she has developed thematic programmes in print and hybrid formats. During her residency, Fei will undertake a research project that looks into the queer spatiality of urban parks, with comparative research from Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and other cities in China.
Lai Fei is currently the 2025 Asymmetry Writer-in-Residence.
