Hang Li

Hang Li is a London- and Beijing-based researcher, curator and designer whose work probes the intersections of art and technology through collective methodologies, feminist epistemologies and social-justice-oriented organisational models. They are pursuing a practice-based PhD in the School of Arts and Humanities at the Royal College of Art, examining alternative curatorial tools that challenge institutional norms. Hang has curated projects for The Photographers’ Gallery, Spazju Kreattiv, the Royal College of Art and Skelf, and publishes widely on curating-in-formation. Hang previously obtained an MArch in Architectural Design from UCL’s Bartlett School and an MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the RCA.

Hang Li was the 2021 Asymmetry Curatorial Writing Fellow at Chisenhale Gallery.

Shuyi Cao

Shuyi Cao is a New York-based artist whose practice explores alchemical approaches to material, matter and knowledge osmosis. Through archaeological speculation and ecological fiction, she contemplates the porous plurality of relations between sciences, technocultures, and cosmologies. She is a visiting assistant professor at Pratt Institute and founder of Transmaterial Lab, faculty at The New School, alumni of NEW INC New Museum. She received a Bachelor of Laws, an M.A. in Public Administration from Fudan University, and an M.F.A. in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design.

Iris Long

Iris Long is a writer and independent curator whose research focuses on the megastructures of science and technology in China and the psycho-geography of techno-science. She was a 2022–2023 Berggruen Fellow and a Swissnex Fellow. On the radio waves, she goes with 'BY1TYW'.

She has curated and co-curated exhibitions exploring art, science, and technology, and her international presentations include The Magic Machine (University of Cambridge), Antikythera Salon, Space in Time (Warburg Institute/UCL Institute of Advanced Studies), and Art and Artificial Intelligence (Open Conference, ZKM).

In 2021, she co-initiated Port: Under the Cloud, a long-term research and curatorial project on the infrastructures of science and technology in China—her passion project.

Shen Xin

Shen Xin (b. 1990, Chengdu) is a storyteller, maker of moving images, paintings, performance and sound. Born in Chengdu, Sichuan, they live in An t-eilean Sgitheanach (Isle of Skye) with their life partner Ali Van, and with their family in Mni Sota Makoce (Minnesota). Their solo presentations include: but this is the language we met in (Richmond Art Gallery, BC, 2024); one, arriving at floodplains (MadeIn Gallery, Shanghai, 2023); Brine Lake (A New Body) (M HKA, Antwerp, 2023; Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, 2021), and ས་གཞི་སྔོན་པོ་འགྱུར། (The Earth Turned Green) (KUNSTVEREIN GARTENHAUS, Vienna, 2023; Swiss Institute, New York, 2022). Their group exhibitions include Cosmos Cinema (14th Shanghai Biennale, Shanghai, 2023); This Too, is a Map (12th Seoul Mediacity Biennale, 2023); Language is a River (MUMA, Melbourne, 2021); Minds Rising, Spirits Tuning (Gwangju Biennale, 2021); Sigg Prize (M+ Museum, Hong Kong, 2019); and Songs for Sabotage (New Museum Triennial, New York, 2018). They received the BALTIC Artists’ Award (2017) and held the Rijksakademie residency in Amsterdam (2018-19).

Joni Zhu

Dr. Joni Zhu is a curator who works at the intersection of contemporary art, critical theory and cultural analysis with projects including programming and writing. She is a lecturer at the School of Creative Arts at University of Hertfordshire and has previously lectured at Goldsmiths, University of London where she received her PhD in Curatorial/Knowledge, and Postdoc investigating networked surveillance, visual arts and minoritarian politics. She has held positions at Sadie Coles HQ and Kings Place and organised projects for freethought’s Bergen Assembly, the Guardian, among others.
