Entering our sixth year of growth and exploration, our Director Michèle Ruo Yi Landolt reflects on our origins and the Sinophone perspective guiding our pursuit of movement, encounter, and reinvention alongside our connected global communities.

‘Its dispersals follow no single stream, and its boundaries remain permeable to circumstance. Rather than restoring an imagined coherence, the Sinophone offers a way of attending to how form and thinking move across time and place, and how artistic practices gather around these convergences.’

This article brings to a close many years of our collaboration with ArtReview, through which our fellows and scholars were invited to share reflections in writing. Together, we approach writing as a space to articulate positions shaped by research, dialogue, and lived experience, and we remain committed to exploring and advancing the future of curatorial and research practice.
